The Crews Attitude & Experience

All TV is serious but "live" TV is so much more as you are under pressure and against the clock. This means that all crew members have to be experienced and when under pressure should be able to cope.

"Camera Opps" need to;
1. Have a good understanding of shots
2. Have a good attention span
3. Have a steady hand
4. Initiative thinking
5. Be aware of surroundings
6. Able to offer shots to director

"Sound Opps" need to;
1. Be able to concentrate
2. Be quick on the faders
3. Watch the levels
4. Be prepared
5. Ear open for director
6. Solve problems quick

"VX" needs to;
1. Be quick
2. Be focused
3. Able to listener to directors commands
4. Able to understand "lingo"

"Floor Manager" needs to;
1. Be alert
2. Aware of set, show, crew, audio, vision & audience
3. Be a good problem solver
4. Be a good leader

"Director" needs to;
1. Have good communication skills
2. A clear voice
3. Be alert
4. Watch all monitors
5. Talk to and guide cameras
6. Creative thinking
7. Keep calm
8. Work methodically

"Talent" needs to;
1. Be confident and clear
2. Think on there feet
3. Co-operative
4. Listen to floor manager
5. Be mature
6. Talkative
